Roane Vineyards is always looking for volunteers to pour wine at the various wine festivals held throughout the summer. Volunteering entitles you to a free festival admission, which typically includes a commemorative wine glass and wine sampling coupons, a few free samples of Roane Vineyard wine and a 20% discount on any purchases of Roane Vineyard wine. Frequent volunteers are also given a Roane Vineyard T-shirt.

How long will you have to pour wine? Three hours. We generally split the day into two shifts, 12-3 pm and 3-6 pm. If you like interacting with people, pouring wine is usually a lot of fun, especially towards the end of the day after the attendees have been drinking a while.

There are a few rules:

  • If you say you're going to show up, please show up,  or at least call if you can't make it.

  •  Refrain from smoking under the tent.

  • Do not allow yourself to become  intoxicated, especially while serving wine. We will ask you to leave.

  •  You must be at least 21 years old. You will be carded at the entrance gate.
